Mara Elephant Project
The Mara Elephant Project (MEP) was founded by Suzie Fehsenfeld and local Kenyan partners in 2011 to protect elephants and their habitats across The Greater Mara Ecosystem. For over a decade, MEP has succeeded in their mission by providing training and employment for local Maasai men and women working as rangers, assisting with applied research and leading a collaborative approach to disrupt poaching in the region, avoid conflict and prevent habitat loss. Globe Foundation is working in partnership with MEP to support their “Experimental Garden Project” providing resources, research equipment and a fully funded internship program for qualified students from Earth University.
